HIGH ENERGY SHOCK ABSORBER DEVICE
SSK100
PATENT 102019000005464
The patent application was extended through an international PCT procedure and a European patent EP20721116.0 dated 19/10/2021 is currently under examination
Typical breaks with traditional systems
A classic application is found to the "Loading Bays" of the industrial logistic, where the truck in approach (often trucks of about 40 tons) impact against the dock of the building. In these cases, rubber pads are used but are ineffective and not very long-duration due to the high impact of energy involved.
The purpose of the new SK100 system is to definitively solve the problem of impact towards the loading points, resisting frontal impacts (see video 1) and vertical forces (see video 2).
The SK100 is built with high strength steels and the components have been calculated and dimensioned to withstand high impacts without plastic deformation or breaks.
In the BASE solution, the SK100 is able to absorb a maximum pressure of about:
In the BASE solution, the SK100 is able to absorb a maximum pressure of about:
- 80 KN for central impacts;
- 20 KN for angled side impacts;
- 40 KN for lateral impacts;
- 150 KN for vertical forces transmitted by adhesion masses;
Application area
The SK100 device is designed, built, and tested using the most modern technologies, with the aim to introduce on the market an innovative solution for the protection of rigid bodies subject to high energy impacts, in compliance with the mandatory safety regulations in workplaces.
A protective casing has been provided to make safe use of the device.
Yellow/black adhesive bands make the device more visible when the truck is approaching.
The dimensions have been calculated to allow the nail platform to have sufficient support on the truck floor to work safely.
The installation of the device is simple, and also the disassembly for the change of destination, without compromising its functionality.
